I had a session with the "driveway" stone early, then I finished my day with lower body power training with my NEW Monster Mini Bands from PERFORMBETTER.COM!  I was excited about the throwing and anxious about training squats with my new bands.  Here is how the workout ended up:

'Twas a tragic day for the Cave of Strength and the Yuba Sutter Heavy Athletics Club Wooly Rhinos.  After hundreds of reps the 2.5" FAT BAR appears to be on it's way to the otherside.  And on it's maiden voyage the Indoor/Street 30# WFD "the Magic Bologna" also....well...just check out the video:

01-24-12 Upper Body Strength Training + Heavy Events Training

I completed a stone put session prior to my weight training session for today's workout.  It made a bit of a difference in stamina and strength throughout the entire build up.  Here's how it went:

01-23-12 Lower Body Endurance Training + Heavy Events

The weather has been horrible for heavy events training so I go a little creative and made an indoor/soft for concrete 16lbs. stone.  This workout got interrupted a bit so I split this one up into two sessions.  The first session was during the day and I completed my squats and then did some stone put progressions.  Later that night I finished the rest of the lower body workout.  Here is the result:

I have a cold coming on pretty hard today.  It's beating the crap out of me and starting to get worse.  Yet I still hit the Cave of Strength.  It's cold and rainy here in the NorCal valley, so that isn't helping things.  Don't get me wrong I love the rain, just not getting sick.  Pre-workout supplement: Nyquil.  Let's see how that went...
