01-24-12 Upper Body Strength Training + Heavy Events Training

I completed a stone put session prior to my weight training session for today's workout.  It made a bit of a difference in stamina and strength throughout the entire build up.  Here's how it went:

16# STONE PUT
- 5 "toes to the board"
- 5 snap throws = Session PR: 35' 6"
- 5 quarter spins
- 5 "South Africans"
- 5 3/4 spins = Session PR: 35' 4"
- 5 full spins
- 5 Glide throws = Session PR: 35' 7"
**Much improved on the spin - finally catching up!**

**Please IGNORE the "man-pris" I am wearing - I am short and long pants bother me!**

1 set of 8 w/o weights

WORKOUT SUMMARY:
I really am happy about the spin PR.  It's the farthest I think I have EVER thrown with the spin.  Only way to go is UP!  That light weight class is going to have their hands full with me.  Late April...I'm coming!

Keep Moving Forward,
Miller
